# What “unlimited” really means: the speed after your daily limit in 171 countries

Every unlimited travel eSIM has a daily full-speed allowance. After it, you stay online at a reduced speed. Almost nobody says how slow. We looked at all 763 daily plans we sell across 171 destinations.

## The surprise: more data a day, slower “unlimited”

On plans with 1 to 3 GB a day, 71% keep 1 Mbps once the allowance runs out. On plans with 5 to 10 GB a day, 99% drop to 384 or 512 kbps. Paying for a bigger daily allowance usually buys a slower connection after it. If you rarely pass 2 GB a day, a mid-size plan is both cheaper and faster when you do.
